For the third day of the Dinner: The Playbook Challenge, I decided to make the Pulled Chicken Barbecue Sandwiches. This kind of felt like cheating. I knew it would go over great. One thing my girl loves is barbecue chicken. I even named my homemade sauce after her. However, we don't normally shred it and put it on a bun, so I called it different enough to count. We served it with corn on the cob and roasted eggplant. The corn was gobbled up, but the eggplant was treated as though it had been doused in battery acid rather than olive oil. "Just a bite! Just ONE bite! Don't give me any more!" Ah, well. She did choose a cherry popsicle over ice cream for dessert, reasoning, "the popsicle has fruit in it." I didn't have the heart to correct her.
